CEP to have a Rival
From the English Democrats' Forum and the British Democracy Forum comes this dispatch from Steven Uncles, Party Secretary for the English Democrats:
English Democrats London Mayoral Candidate - Matt O'Connor, today announced in a press conference close to his "Shock Scot" Campaign Poster at London Bridge Railway station, that he would be launching a new "Hard Hitting" English Parliament Campaign Group in May 2008, directly after the London Mayoral Elections.
He explained that the English Parliament issue is a "Killer Issue" and the established "Campaign for an English Parliament" is virtually invisible to most members of the public, and that's after 10 years of existance, he continued it's difficult to understand what the leadership of the Campaign for an English Parliament have been doing, it's time for a fresh radicle approach to gain justice for England, and maximum publicity for the issue.
He promised to firmly establish the "English Parliament" issue at the very top of the political agenda, once outside the restrictions of an the Mayoral Election Campaign, in a similar way to his Fathers-4-Justice campaign.
"I'll make sure the established politicians can no longer ignore the will of the English people"
The Campaign for an English Parliament recently rejected an offer by Matt O'Connor to speak at their "Future of England Conference" on April 26 in London, as they were afraid it may attract "too much attention".
ENDS
A dyslexic CEP, just what England needs.

This is exactly the sort of
This is exactly the sort of thing that those of us who want an English Parliament do not need. It makes us look fractured, divided and easily swept aside. I would be more than happy to support the English Democrats in any general election, but they are doing themselves no favours with the broader church of people who want an English Parliament who do not support their party.
It is not a bad idea to have
It is not a bad idea to have some fresh ideas on bringing the aims of CEP/ English Nationalists lobby to the broad spectrum of English people. I continually find that most people I meet are not up to speed on the case for an English Parliament. After so much campaigning, why is that? New ideas and approaches should be welcomed and given a fair trial.
Is that the same Steve Uncles
Is that the same Steve Uncles whose 'hard hitting' campaigning has resulted in support for the English Democrats in Dartford draining away?
The same Steve Uncles whose uncompromising reaction to dissent from his 'official' view has resulted in activist membership of the English Democrats drifting away?
The same Steve Uncles whose unthinking resort to threats of litigation, should he read anything uncomplimentary about himself, has resulted in his making a complete prat of himself in the minds of intellectually more plausible individuals (and God knows it is not hard to be intellectually more plausible than Steve Uncles) in the nationalist 'community'?
When I read 'hard hitting' and 'Steve Uncles' in the same line I'm reminded of that ridiculous Monty Python sketch, filmed at Maidenhead Locks (I think) in which Terry Jones and (Was it?) Michael Palin, dressed in pith helmets, safari jackets and shorts, slapped each other with fish in each hand as they did a morris-like dance.
The very same Steve Uncles,
The very same Steve Uncles, spammer of forums extraordinaire.
